Review
Bela Lugosi plays against type as a mild-mannered perfumier who
is still bitter from having been denied credit for a successful
product. His revenge is particularly sweet in that he trains his
'devil bats' to seek out a certain scent - one found only in the
after shave he gives to his victims.
Not really a vampire movie at all, this really belongs in the niche
market of industrial espionage revenge films. But it deserves consideration
if only because of its considerable creepiness, and slowly building
plot.
An enjoyable film, with nicely times moments of humour among the
devil death attacks .... Nice one, Bela!
