eighties was a quite period, compared to the glut of the seventies. the genre
was all hammered out, and the smaller studios were diappearing fast, while the
bigger ones were much to good for mere vampires! Most of these movies adopted
the vampire universe, but put a new twist; most probably tried too hard and produced
pseudy rubbish, just like so much of the music of the eighties (not all, of course!). But
in amongst the weird and the Hong Konf imports, there are some really powerful
movies.
