The MovieAn archeologist identifies three well preserved bodies -
a family - and determines to sell them ... his idiot assistants manage to damage
the charms controlling the vampires which then go on the rampage ... except for
the littles, which leads an ET-type life, protected by children and behaving (apart
form a little diversion to the blood bank), until he sees his parents being attacked,
on the television news .... ReviewVery funny, and really quite
a charming movie. By the end, the vampyroos
have become quite sympathetic characters, especially the child, which has befriended
a whole group of kids (much to dad's confusion). The vampire hunters are an inconsistent
bunch, and the chases and fights get a little repetitive, but I seriously recommend
this to any vampirologist with a sense of humor. This movie has been strongly
criticised as it 'fails to live up to Mr V - 1" - but it was made on a very
small budget, and is really a very different kind of movie. Best not compare Chinese
movie; Subtitled in English. Note: Chinese views of vampires are rather
different from the western understanding. Go with the flow, see vampyroos,
and don't worry too much ... The DVD - Director: Ricky Lau
