A great hit on its release, this film is based on Anne Rice's novel, and vears
away fairly markedly from the familiar vampire tale. Seen from the Vampire's
perspective, it's a fairly morose tale, but none the less fascinating for that! Tom
Cruise did well to play the evil Lestat straight down the line, and a strong supporting
cast kept up the illusion. An interesting exercise, and an interesting deviation
from the usual plot line. - Starring: Tom Cruise, Brad
