The Movie

Synopsis: A thief betrays a young accomplice in a deadly robbery gone wrong. After spending eight years in a hard prison system, the young man returns home to seek revenge and make amends to the people he has hurt. Unfortunately, the young man discovers that his nemesis is now a powerful vampire with a coven of allies.

It takes a rare skill to make a vampire movie boring - but these guys did just that.

The script is slow to the point of turgidity, the direction is leaden, the cast really don't care one way or the other. And who can blame them? All the characters are stupid, from the failed hoodie robbers, to the vampire hunters using (you guessed it) standard automatic handguns against vampires. Pathetic.

There's not one single character for whom you can hold any sympathy - you start to feel for the hit and run victim, but she soon demonstrates she's as dumb as the rest. And don't get me started on the 'vampire hunters'; even 'our hero' got to laugh at them.

This movie never should have been made; having been made, it should have been quietly dropped in the river.
